Qatar Airways on Wednesday premiers its pateneted new business class suites which look like first-class suites of many class-leading rival carriers. Qatar Airways is on track to provide Chiang Mai a direct air link to the Middle East later this year. It plans to debut Doha-Chiang Mai non-stop from Oct 31 with four flights a week on an Airbus 330 wide-body jet, Terrence Yu, Qatar manager for Thailand and Myanmar, told the Bangkok Post. Rival Emirates operates frequent non-stop services from its Dubai hub to Bangkok and Phuket, while Etihad only flies to Bangkok from Abu Dhabi. Meanwhile, the airline unveiled new business-class suites to rival first-class suites of rival airlines.
